Om (Auṃ) is a sacred sound and mystic syllable, considered the most sacred mantra in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism like a Guan Yin's Mantra that have "Om" is the word beginning to pray the mantra of Guan Yin – "Om Mani Padme Hūṃ"

Om symbol is a spiritual icon in Indian religions. In Hinduism, Om is one of the most important spiritual symbols too.

History of Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year's Day has another name called 'Lunar New Year' or 'Spring Festival'. Legends of Chinese New Year have many stories. Some story 'Chinese New Year's Day' is celebrated for a monster named 'Nian', so it's called Guo Nian (过年) in Chinese, which mean 'Celebrate (a new) year' or 'overcome Nian' and the character 年 (Nián) could mean a 'year' or 'the monster Nian.


Chinese New Year's Day is the first day of the Chinese lunar calendar. But the date is different each year on the international calendar, between January 21th and February 20th, which In 2016 it's Monday February 8th, Officially only the first three days of Chinese New Year between February 8 - 10, 2016 are holiday.

The New Year festival is centuries old and gains significance because of several myths and traditions. Traditionally, the festival was a time to respect to their god and their ancestors.

Chinese New Year is celebrated in countries with significant Chinese populations, including Mainland China, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Mauritius, Philippines and also Thailand. 


The most of Thai people (be half-blood Thai and Chinese or Chinese people) do the special purchases, such as special foods and other special things for that day. 'They will pay respect to their ancestors and their gods in Chinese New Year's Day.'


Traditional for every family to thoroughly clean their house, in order to sweep away any ill-fortune and to make way for good incoming luck. 


At the Door and the window will be decorated with red color paper-cuts themes such as "good fortune", "happiness", "wealthy" and "longevity" by facing south and north before the Chinese New Year's Day.

Other activities include lighting firecrackers and it can not do without Reunion Dinner that in the evening preceding Chinese New Year's Day is an occasion for Chinese families to gather for the annual reunion dinner and Parents usually give their children red Paper envelopes after the reunion dinner, wishing them Lucky in the coming year. 

And 'Chinese New Year', People generally visit their friends, relatives or send a new year greeting card or a text message in that special day too.

Giving red envelops or 'Ang Pao' { hóngbāo (红包) is custom at Chinese New Year. The Red Paper Envelopes that use for this year which is year of Monkey. Money are wrapped in red paper envelopes which is believed to bring good luck, as red is considered to be Lucky color, so it's called 'Lucky money' given to kids from their grandparents, parents or others as New Year gifts.

Thailand Bangkok Trimurti Shrine where the God of Love is

Trimurti Shrine is located in front of Shopping Mall Central World, Bangkok Thailand. This is a shrine for the God of Love was named 'Trimurti. It's nice and great to see that many people go there to prey or pay their respects. The God of love will bless you to success in love. If you're at Central World or near there you could take a look at this.

The Trimurti Shrine is one of two that sit out the front of the Central World Plaza, sitting right next to the Lord Ganesh Shrine. The Trimurti is the Trinity God of Hindu comprise of Brahma (the creator), Vishnu (the preserver), and Shiva (the destroyer or transformer). Especially crowded on evenings and nights with worshippers, there are seats around the shrine where you can sit and reflect or just relax after shopping. It's nice and great to see that many people go there to prey or pay their respects.

Luang Por Cham at Watchaitararam (Wat Chalong)


Whoever comes to Phuket should also stop to visit Luang Por Cham at 'Wat Chaitararam' (Wat Chalong) the most respected temple on Phuket.

The most of People believe that the virtues of Luang Por Cham can cure their sickness. It is said that during the time he was alive, there were many people who came and wanted to gild him as if he was a statue. Even though Luang Por Cham has passed away more than 100 years ago, his reputation and virtue remain in the worshipers’ heart until now. Nowadays, Luang Por Cham is still the shelter for Phuket and Thai people all over.

Luang Por Cham’s biography says that, in 1876 in the reign of King Rama V, he helped Phuket people in their struggle with the Chinese Secret Society, the mine workers who rebelled against the villagers and wanted to invade Phuket.



At that time Luang Por Cham gave a white turban to each of the villagers to put on as an amulet for them which made the villagers more confident and courageous. 



The villagers use Wat Chalong as their camp until they defeated the Chinese Secret Society. When King Rama V heard about this he conferred a new title to Luang Por Cham which is Pra Kru Visuttiwong Sajarnyanmunee and also made him the head of the monks in Phuket. The king also changed the name of 'Wat Chalong' to 'Wat Chaitararam'.
